This is the first time I’ve recommended a book I’ve yet to read. I have the book on the way and because I know Joe I wanted to recommend the book as soon as it became available. What intrigues me so much about this book is that Feathered Tales is not a how-to book but rather a book about Mr. Augustine’s adventure chasing his English Setters after all of North America’s upland birds. It is a dream I have had for as long as I can remember and I can’t wait to read the stories behind each of the birds.
I have met Joe and his setters and can say all are absolutely wonderful. I have yet to have the privilege to hunt behind the dogs but I’m hoping that may change next season. After conversing with him for most of the hunting season I have no doubt that the book will be well worth it when it arrives. I’ll follow-up in a subsequent newsletter with a real review, but wanted to get the word out as soon as possible.
