North American Hunting Retriever

The North American Hunting Retriever Association is a non-profit
organization dedicated to preserving the hunting instincts of the
retriever breeds. NAHRA helps retriever organizations throughout
North America educate the public in the use of purebred hunting
retrievers as conservation animals and promotes the field testing
of retrievers in simulated hunting situations.
North American Versatile Hunting
Dog Association (NAVHDA)

The NAVHDA is a non-profit organization that fosters, promotes,
and improves the versatile hunting dog breeds in North America. In
addition the NAVHDA strives to conserve game by using
well-trained, reliable hunting dogs before and after the shot and
aids in the prevention of cruelty to animals by discouraging
nonselective and uncontrolled breeding, which produces unwanted
and uncared for dogs.

Open to all pointing breeds, the NSTRA conducts field trials under
conditions closely resembling actual wild bird hunting.

The HRC promotes total dog registry, encouraging dogs that perform
and look equally well. They sponsor conformation shows, obedience
shows, and field trials.
American Hunting Dog Club (AHDC)

The AHDC was formed to preserve and improve the opportunity for
the enjoyment and appreciation for the American hunting
3experience and heritage through educational activities. The AHDC
sponsors events for all hunting dogs, including pointers,
retrievers and spaniels.
Canadian Kennel Club (CKC)

The CKC is the equivalent of the American Kennel Club and sponsors
conformation shows, obedience shows, hunting tests, and field
trials.
North American Gun Dog Association
(NAGDA)

The North American Gun Dog Association was formed to provide bird
dog owners the opportunity to hunt upland birds in a competition
format. NAGDA events are held across the country at private hunt
clubs. Competition events begin in September and end with a
national championship in April.
United States Hunting Dog

The USHDA was formed so hunting dog owners could have fun and
compete with their dogs outside the limits of the normal hunting
season. USHDA hunts are held across America on private and public
land as well as at private hunt clubs. Events usually start in
September and end with a national championship in April.
