Spaniel
The
English Springer Spaniel is a true upland specialist. This
hardworking breed has been described as an athlete by day and
fireside family companion by night.
In the field, the English Springer is an
enthusiastic hunting partner that efficiently quarters and tracks
upland game. Traditionally used in the pursuit of pheasant, chukar,
partridge and grouse, the Springer has also gained recent notoriety
in the blind as a waterfowl dog.
A medium sized breed, the Springer usually
measures around 20 inches at the shoulder and usually weighs between
40 and 50 pounds. The Springer is built for endurance in the field
