The Cocker Spaniel is one of America's most loved breeds and is known as the smallest of the sporting breeds.

Unfortunately, as with many of the more popular breeds within the sporting group, the Cocker Spaniel has lost many of the inherent characteristics that make it a good hunting breed.  A few breed aficionados are trying mightily to bring back this dog as a true hunting breed and with some research good hunting lines can indeed still be found.
