| Large
Munsterlander As another of
the German-bred versatile gundogs, the Large Munsterlander was
originally bred and recognized as a color variant of the German
Longhaired Pointer until the early 1900s. The Large Munsterlander,
or LM as it is affectionately known, is a calm and gentle field dog
that adjusts well to home life and performs exceptionally in a
variety of hunting environments. LMs are close workers in the field
and tend to be very responsive to commands. Although the LM's
pointing instincts tend to mature later in life, they demonstrate a
great tracking abilities.
The LM traditionally weighs between 53
and 76 pounds and typically has a black and white coat with
medium-length hair.
