With a stack of five barely-started books sitting on my nightstand, I knew my summer reading was in need of some exciting infusion. My wife had been devouring books most of the summer, and so I turned to her for a recommendation. I have not seen or read The DaVinci Code, and so other than movie trailers and irate editorials, I was unfamiliar with Dan Brown’s work. Now, I realize none of this is related to hunting, but let me tell you this was one of the best books that I have ever read.
From the get-go I was very intrigued and had trouble setting the book down to go to bed that first night. I was so enthralled with the book that I picked it up after work the second day and didn’t turn the lights out until I had finished. I consider myself a semi-avid reader, and this was the first time I had finished a book of this size in less than 24 hours.
I won’t give too much of the plot away other than to say the book is a definite twist on the age-old battle of science versus religion, and at times the original battle of good versus evil. If you are looking to jump-start your reading, this is a book that I would highly recommend.
